TMS a direct tire pressure-monitoring system designed specifically for large off road applications such as mining and construction, earthmoving, container and cargo handling equipment, tire testing and research. Sensors mounted inside each tire transmit tire pressure and temperature data to a receiver and display unit mounted in the cab.
Tire monitoring system pressure and temperature sensor
The TMS Sensor is a small, battery-powered pressure and temperature sensor, which is mounted to each tyre using standard tire patch products and patching techniques. The sensor is patched to the inside of the tire on the low flex sidewall and monitors tire pressure and temperature, continuously transmitting data via the wireless transmitter to the TMS receiver.
Tire monitoring system receiver
The TMS Receiver is mounted in the vehicle cab and receives and decodes data from the TMS sensors. The receiver is powered by the vehicle supply, 12V/24V, and monitors the data from each sensor reporting any alerts. It is connected to the operator interface.
Tire monitoring system real-time data display
Showing real-time data to drivers gives you some unexpected benefits - the driver will know whether or not a tire with a slow loss of pressure will complete the shift or if there is sufficient pressure to drive to a convenient place for tire checking. The TMS Operator Interface is mounted so the driver can see the tire pressure data and alarm status, and also displays tire pressure data for each allocated wheel and any alarm conditions. It logs tire data into memory for later recall and each record is time stamped. The real-time operator interface has the following features:
- Displays the status of each tyre including pressure
- Displays for up to six tyres
- Logs receptions with a real-time stamp
- Supports alarms: low pressure, high pressure, high temperature, low battery and reception timeout
- Connects to the TMS receiver
Tire monitoring system PC management software
TMS Manager, a PC program, enables you to configure the system, set the alarm conditions for each tire and to monitor the results.
